Public transit has used many forms of energy over the centuries, from animals to coal to electric and sometimes a few different kinds at once! This month at All Aboard! we’ll use science and creativity to find out more about the different ways that public transit uses energy — past and present — and think about what kinds of energy sources we’ll need for a more sustainable future.
All Aboard! is NCTM’s monthly family program series. Every first Saturday of the month, join us to learn about a new topic of transit history through hands-on learning, scientific experimentation, creating art, and more! Designed for ages 4 and up, younger children may succeed with adult assistance.
